However, this is because of increased federal funding from the American Rescue Plan, also known as the COVID-19 Stimulus Package, and is not a permanent increase to funding for youth.. A: The Pomona Kids First Initiative would help fund various types of services and programs including but not limited to to violence prevention and response, education, job training, alternatives to incarceration, parent/guardian support, media, arts, and culture, health and well-being, civic engagement, environmental health, outdoor education and recreation, deportation and immigrant support, and housing support.
